Likely Democratic Primary voters in Michigan's 1st District need to be given instructions for a proper write-in vote. As part of that, it's important that voters are shown an image of what a correct vote looks like.

In order to cast a valid write-in vote for Matt Morgan, voters should follow these three steps:

  1. Go to the Democratic primary column on the ballot and find the blank space for Representative in Congress 1st District.

  2. Fill in the oval next to the blank line.

  3. Write Matt Morgan on that line.

Matt Morgan is the only Democrat running for US Congress in Michigan's 1st District. The stakes are high. If Matt Morgan does not receive sufficient write-in votes in the Primary, no Democrat will appear on the General Election ballot against Jack Bergman in November.

Matt Morgan is a career Marine Corps Officer, a husband, and a father of two boys. He's running for Congress because the people of Northern Michigan deserve a leader who represents our values.

Matt will fight for quality, affordable health care, retirement security, good-paying jobs, rural broadband internet access, investments in infrastructure like roads and the Soo Locks, and strong public schools that create skilled workers.

The Primary Election day is Tuesday, August 7th.
